Square State Concepts is a local Plan Design Build company owned by Scott Rickard. Square State Concepts focuses on, residential design, construction and remodel, commercial tenant finish, and development design and management.
Scott Rickard is an experienced project manager having worked on large scale projects for an established international engineering firm and a front range based startup. Scott grew up in Grand Junction in a family of builders heavily involved in local real estate and development through out western Colorado. Scott apprenticed under master builder Dan Gearhart of Red Hart Construction for several years before moving to Denver to study Land Use and Development at Metropolitan State University of Denver. After 6 years of project management at Black & Veatch and 4 years at a Denver startup, Scott and his wife Jamie moved back to Grand Junction to raise their daughter and get back to building homes.
Jamie owns an Interior Design Firm, Tall Chair, she has a degree from Art Institute of Denver in Interior Design and experience designing and staging homes across the country with Richmond Homes, high end homes on the front range with CKY Designs, and has quickly established herself designing homes in Western Colorado.
Square State is a family owned business combining modern crisp design with traditional high quality values. We are currently building The Court subdivision and several spec homes in the valley.
