Supply chain disruptions have echoed across every construction phase, and the shortage of skilled labor persists as construction job opportunities reach unprecedented levels. Adding to these hurdles, recent estimates suggest that regulations could contribute as much as $93,000 to the price of an average new home in certain markets. These struggles resonate with the realities faced in Western Colorado, as rising regulations and fees make it a more arduous journey for first-time homebuyers to achieve their dreams of homeownership. The HBA continues to champion against these hindrances, advocating for affordability without compromise.
